Join us on the Sunday Club Ride

Come join us on the Sunday "flatlanders special". This weekly ride starts at the Einstein Bagel shop on West Cheyenne and winds its way past Lone Mountain before crossing over the highway into North Las Vegas and through Aliante and back. The route is relatively flat, with just a few long shallow grades and only one short hill to speak of (the Elkhorn Bridge over 95). This is the perfect recovery or beginner's ride. Depending on the route options, the ride length is either 27 or 37 miles. No one is dropped. Ride leader, Hal Rhea keeps the pace at a comfortable 12 to 14 mph. This is a fun ride! It's more of a social event than a training ride. It's the perfect time to relax and re-connect with your fellow riders. Beginning in October, the ride will begin at 7:30 am and should get you home in plenty of time to catch your favorite football game. The Sunday ride is one of our more popular group rides with anywhere from 10 to 25 riders. We have tandems, recumbents, and occasionally mountain bikes joining a vast assortment of road and race bikes. Our ride group includes teenagers on up to seniors. Everyone is welcome on this ride! Fonda Rhea usually sweeps and makes sure everyone gets in safely. Afterwards, kick back and enjoy fresh bagels and hot java with some of the nicest people around!!
